Bhavani and Aakash first met at a Science expo in high school and later started dating when they both moved to Johannesburg. The couples wedding took place at Kendra in Durban.
Bhavani says the highlight of her wedding day was when she walked onto the stage and Akaash threw petals down for her as she walked in. The couple honeymooned in Koh Samui in Thailand. We simply loved this shoot. It was perfect from the weather to the couple. This location was an idea for about two and a half years. I must say that i couldn't have imagined it to be more perfect. Bhavani has to be one of our biggest Facebook fans and has been promoting us even before we did her wedding. So we hope she loves her pics more then any of our other pics...:)
The wedding took place at the DLI hall in Durban, Kasha wore a red and green outfit which had gold work on it. It takes a very daring bride to wear red lip stick but Kasha pulled it of perfectly, it went perfectly with the outfit and her look. Their MC Rahul was really entertaining this was our first experience with him and I must say we highly recommend him. It was at this wedding I realized how great technology is, as the bride was walking down people whipped their ipads to take pictures of the bride and off course face book it immediately. For the location we looked for something classical and old and we also managed to slip in something grungy, which makes for an amazing contrast.
January and February have been so crazy that we only posting January weddings now!
You only realize how far Pretoria is when you have to leave this early to get to Brides place. Karishma and Rushil got married at the Velmore wedding venue in Erasmia, Pretoria on the 15th January 2012. This was the first shoot of our upcoming 3 weddings in Pretoria. Karishma wanted a very classic feel for her couples shoot, only when we saw her look on the wedding day did we fully understand why. She wore a golden net outfit encrusted with millions of crystals. When we saw this we knew it was going to shoot perfectly against the classic buildings we found for her location. On the location shoot we had some great body guards. A special thank you goes out to all who assisted us on location. Venue: Velmore Hotel, Banquet & Conference Estate Make up and Hair : Manisha Decor: Chetna Waking up at 8am on a lazy December morning is definitely not the easiest of tasks. Yet my day was made when we were greeted at Priya’s house by the cutest little 2year old, he was just too adorable and full of hugs and kisses.:) Priya has one of the happiest smiles I’ve ever shot. The one thing that stood out for me at this wedding was the choice of music. I absolutely loved it (and no I'm not being biased) and we all admired the courage it must have taken to play it. Yes people, Alternate rock music at Indian wedding isn’t the easiest thing to get parents to agree too. The wedding was simple and personal, as for the couple they were totally caught up in the moment which was rather cute. Just before we went out for our couple shoot on location it rained buckets (literally!) Mits was rather concerned it wasn’t going to stop but as the saying goes ‘every cloud has a silver lining’. The rain cleared up and left us with an amazing sunset, typically made only by passing storms. more images |
